Adult Education at Anshe Tikvah

Lifelong Learning on Your Holy Path

Exploring our history, texts, and traditions together.

At Anshe Tikvah, we believe that education is a lifelong pursuit. Whether you are looking to deepen your understanding of sacred texts, explore Jewish culture through literature, or learn the language of our ancestors, our adult education programs are designed to be relevant, dynamic, and progressive. We provide a safe space where you can entreat, explore, and evolve, and where friends are always waiting to be made.

Torah Study

Finding Modern Meaning in Ancient Wisdom

Our approach to Torah is rooted in the belief that sacred texts should be actively engaged with and questioned. We strive to become thoughtful readers of Jewish text, often using paired study to help us make informed decisions about our own Jewish practice. Whether you are a lifelong scholar or opening the Torah for the very first time, your voice and perspective are welcome at the table.

  • When: Mondays at 7:30 PM
  • Where: In-person at the Kleiman Campus and online via Zoom.

Community Book Club

Shared Stories and Connection

Our Book Club is a wonderful way to take one step closer to the Anshe Tikvah community. Every season, we select a new book that explores a different facet of Jewish life, history, or culture. It’s a low-pressure environment to share ideas, gain new perspectives, and build bonds of compassion and connection with fellow readers.

  • Current Read: The Future Is Peace by Aziz Abu Sarah & Moaz Inon
  • Who Can Join: Open to all readers! Check our community calendar for the next discussion date.

Adult Hebrew Lessons

Learning at Your Own Pace

Our adult Hebrew lessons are designed for those who want to feel more comfortable engaging with the prayers we sing during our music-forward services, or simply want to connect more deeply with the language of our heritage.

Recognizing that our members have busy lives, this is not a rigid, high-stress class. Instead, we gather as a small, informal group that meets when schedules align. It is a highly supportive, judgment-free zone that reflects our recovery-oriented and trauma-informed ethos—perfect for adult beginners who want to learn alongside peers in a warm and encouraging environment.
