Anshe Tikvah is a "People of Hope." We are a non-denominational community dedicated to the living practice of relevant, dynamic, and progressive Judaism.

Our tradition teaches us that there are many pathways to holiness, and we recognize that every person follows their own holy path. We are a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed faith community that stresses the all-embracing character of the Jewish people through Tikkun Olam (healing the world), lifelong learning, and the freedom of Jewish self-expression.

The Kleiman Campus for Jewish Hope & Healing
In July 2020, Anshe Tikvah moved into our current home at 3320 Dundee Road in Northbrook—the Kleiman Campus. This campus is more than just a building; it is a specialized hub designed to integrate faith with the journey of recovery and emotional wellness.
We are proud to share our space and our mission with The Tikvah Center for Jewish Recovery and Healing; A dedicated partner providing support and resources for those navigating the challenges of addiction and mental health.
At Anshe Tikvah, we believe that you need not celebrate or mourn alone. Our campus is a sanctuary where "deepest prayers are waiting to be whispered" and where healing is woven into the fabric of our community.
Meet Our Executive Leadership
Credentials & Training
I have a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, a Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling from Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois, and a Master of Counseling in Narrative Therapy & Community Work (MC-NTCW) from the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC), and a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) with the Neshama Association of Jewish. I completed a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with a concentration in trauma and addiction chaplaincy. I have a graduate certificate in Jewish Leadership from a joint program of Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning & Leadership and Northwestern University. I also have graduate certificates in Advanced Quantitative Research Methods in Education and Trauma Informed Counseling from Northern Illinois University. I completed training in the use of the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI) and I am a Veriditas Advanced Trained and Certified Labyrinth Facilitator with experience facilitating the therapeutic use of labyrinths in inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment of substance use disorders. ave a graduate certificate in Jewish Leadership with a concentration in Supervision from a joint program of Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning & Leadership and Northwestern University. I am the Principal Investigator at the MIDRASH Lab at Northwestern University.
Clinical Counseling Experience
My clinical counseling experience is with mental health disorders, people recovering from injury or illness, people recovering from substance use disorders and non-substance related addictions, marriage and family counseling, survivors of religious and spiritual trauma, and people looking to integrate religion and/or spirituality into their counseling sessions.
Interests and Family
My research interests include kabbalistic healing prayer, Biblical grammar, spiritual assessment in the treatment of substance use disorders, and the application of negative theology in post-modern pastoral counseling. I live in Evanston, Illinois with my wife Rachel and our children Max, Anna, Elijah, and TJ.
Rosalyn Wolfe comes to us with over 30 years of experience in Jewish Education and Congregational Administration. Ros attended the University of Illinois and received an Associate Degree (ASCP) in Medical Technology. Ros has various experiences in congregations throughout the community in teaching students with special needs, Hebrew, Jewish Studies, Adult Education, Confirmation, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tutoring. She resides in Northbrook and has three children and two delightful grandchildren.
